2) What this policy covers

This policy explains what information RawDot processes, how it is used, whether it is shared, and how you can contact us about privacy questions or requests.

3) Data we process (and what we do not collect)

RawDot is designed so that face/eye tracking for training works without us collecting your camera footage or face tracking data. The app processes the following:

  • Camera permission: required to enable face/eye tracking for training sessions.
  • Session signals: transient session signals needed to run a training session (for example, tracking quality, calibration status, and session feedback). These signals are processed on-device during use.
  • Subscription/paywall status: if you purchase a subscription, the app receives entitlement status (for example, active/inactive) to unlock premium features.
  • Support communications: if you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message.

RawDot does not record, store, or upload camera video, photos, depth maps, or face tracking data.

3A) TrueDepth / ARKit Face Tracking (Face Data)

RawDot uses ARKit Face Tracking (which uses the TrueDepth API and the TrueDepth camera on supported devices) to process face and eye-tracking signals in real time for focus training. This may include face pose, eye transforms, and limited facial expression signals used to assess tracking quality .

We do not record, store, or upload photos, videos, depth maps, or face tracking data. Face tracking is processed on-device during a session and discarded when the session ends.

We do not use face data to identify you, and we do not perform Face ID-style authentication or create a face template.

4) Accounts

RawDot does not require you to create an account.

5) Subscriptions

RawDot may offer subscriptions. Purchases and subscription management are handled by:

  • Apple (App Store): processes billing for App Store subscriptions and maintains payment information. We do not receive your full payment details.
  • Superwall (paywall provider): used to display the paywall and manage subscription entitlements. The app receives entitlement status so it can unlock premium features.

6) Third parties / sharing

We do not sell your personal data.

We do not share any TrueDepth/ARKit face tracking data with third parties.

For subscriptions/paywalls, Apple and Superwall process purchase and subscription-related information as described in Section 5.

7) Data retention

  • TrueDepth/ARKit face tracking data: processed in memory on-device during a session and not retained after the session ends.
  • Support emails: retained only as long as needed to respond and maintain reasonable records, then deleted or anonymized where feasible.
  • Purchase/subscription records: retained by Apple (App Store) and/or Superwall as part of subscription management.

8) Your choices

  • Camera permission: you can grant or revoke camera access at any time in iOS Settings. If camera access is not granted, training features that rely on face/eye tracking will not work.
  • Access or deletion requests: email support@rawdotapp.com. We may ask for information needed to locate relevant records. Some records (such as App Store purchases) are controlled by Apple.

9) Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information we process. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the effective date above when changes are made.
